John Abbott III is the only child of John "Jack" Abbott Jr. and Nicole "Nikki" Reed. He was born in 1993 and died shortly after birth. He was the paternal half-brother to Jack's two son Keemo Volien Abbott and Kyle Abbott as well as maternal half-brother to Nikki's three children Dylan McAvoy, Victoria Newman and Nicholas "Nick" Newman. John was the couple's second try a having a child. Nikki previously miscarried a child earlier in the their marriage.
