Jonah Corinthos is the son of Michael Corinthos III and Janelle "Nelle" Benson. He was born on July 31, 2018. Micheal and Nelle was only a couple for a short and had broken up when Nelle learned that she was pregnant. Michael's mother (as Nelle's adoptive sister) Caroline "Carly" Benson had been against the relationship from the begininng as Nelle had been out to get Carly's family. Nelle decided that the only way that she and Michael could be happy was for Carly to be out of their lives. Nelle set up Carly to make it look like Carly pushed her down some stairs but she had in fact fallen down the stairs accidently.

On the night that Jonah was born, Michael and Nelle were involed in a car accident and Nelle ended up walking away from the car accident and left Michael is the car to die. Nelle had been planning with Detective Harrison Chase to have him kill Michael so she could keep her baby and Michael's money as he cut Nelle out of the will. Unknown to Nelle, Michael and Chase were working together to get Nelle to admit to have her wrong doings. Michael's plan had worked and Nelle admitted on tape that she had killed her former fiancée Zachary Grant and planned on having Michael killed, as well as to gaslighting Carly. But couldn't get her to admitted to lying about Carly pushing Nelle down some stairs. Nelle takes off into the forest and goes into labour. Nelle delivers her baby boy with help from escaped con Dr. Liesl Obrecht. After the birth Liesl takes off while Nelle takes off down the road away from the accident. Nelle's friend Bradley "Brad" Cooper comes across Nelle and her son. Brad had been on the road on his way to the hospital with his newly adopted son Wiley Cooper-Jones, who had just died of SIDS. Nelle learns of Wiley's death and gets Brad to agree to switched the babies. Nelle knows that Michael will get their son because Michael revealed that Nelle had confessed everything on tape. Nelle wants to get back at Michael and knows how broken hearted Brad is, so the two switched alive Jonah for dead Wiley. Brad returns home with Jonah while Nelle continues down the road with Wiley. Chase comes upon Nelle and takes her and the baby to the hospital. Michael arrives at the hospital to be treated for his injuries from the car accident and comes upon Nelle hold the baby. Nelle hands the baby over to the Michael. Nelle blames the baby's death on Michael. Meanwhile, Brad returns home with Jonah. Brad presents Jonah as his and his husband Lucas Jones's (Michael's adoptive uncle) adopted son Wiley. Michael is heartbroken over "his" son's death.
